March 2010, a month after the devastating earthquake that shook Haiti, several projects spontaneously emerged to support the victims and raise funds for humanitarian aid. Sylvain Thibault, then director of Projet Refuge, an organisation which gives shelter and counsel to refugee claimants, invited me to put together an exhibition showcasing several Haitian painters in exile.
